SHERIFF'S OFFICE INCIDENT BRIEFINGS - NOVEMBER 14TH, 2018


During the week of November 5 – November 11 deputies of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,404 calls for service throughout the community.

Theft: 18-60249
On November 5, 2018 Deputy S. Naughton responded to the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office for the report of a theft. The complainant advised sometime between November 2nd at 7:00 AM and November 4th at 2:00 PM an unknown suspect(s) stole an iPad, a black leather jacket and loose change from his vehicle. The estimated value of stolen property is $950.

On November 7, 2018 Dfc. O’Donnell responded to Hellen Creek Drive, Lusby for the report of a theft. The complainant advised sometime between October 24th and November 7th an unknown suspect(s) stole his Wildgame Innovations motion deer camera from the woods behind his residence. The value of the stolen property is approximately $60.

On November 7, 2018 Deputy Deleon responded to Big Sandy Run Road, Lusby for the report of a theft. The complainant advised sometime between 8:00 AM and 1:20 PM an unknown suspect(s) stole his road reflector that was in the ground at the end of his driveway.

On November 7, 2018 Deputy Lewis Jr. responded to Conner Court, Prince Frederick for the report of a theft. The complainant advised sometime between November 6th at 7:00 PM and November 7th at 11:20 AM an unknown suspect(s) stole the gas from her vehicle.

On November 7, 2018 Deputy Lewis Jr. responded to the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office for the report of a theft. The complainant advised an unknown suspect(s) stole her prescription medication sometime between shipping and delivery. The bag was cut open and she was outside when it was delivered to her mailbox.

Theft: 18-60849
On November 8, 2018 Dfc. Bradley responded to Asbury Circle, Solomons for the report of a theft. The complainant advised an unknown suspect(s) entered her apartment and stole several pieces of jewelry including a gold necklace, a gold bracelet and a gold chain with a pendant.

ARRESTS:

On November 7, 2018 Deputy Rzepkowski responded to the Patuxent Health Center in Prince Frederick to investigate a car alarm. The complainant advised a black male wearing a jean jacket, jeans and a dark shirt was seen walking away from the vehicle. The subject was located hiding behind a shed and fled on foot when he saw officers approaching him. Quinn McDonald Bannister (54) was apprehended and placed under arrest. Two vehicles were damaged in the area of where Bannister fled from. Bannister was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center and charged with two counts of Malicious Destruction of Property-Value $1,000, as well as served three outstanding warrants.

On November 7, 2018 Dfc. Rediker responded to Wawa in Prince Frederick for the report of a disorderly subject. Roberta Claire Duran (59) was confrontational and uncooperative as Deputy Rediker attempted to speak with her. She continued to touch his arm and approach him in an aggressive manner. Duran was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where she was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Failure to Obey Lawful Order and Resisting Arrest.

On November 8, 2018 Deputy Lewis Jr. responded to Calvert County Circuit Court for a warrant service. Maurice Quintrel Vereen (40) was in the suspect vehicle with a glass pipe in plain view. A search of his person revealed a glass pipe, which he admitted to being a crack pipe. A search of the vehicle revealed a container with suspected heroin. Vereen was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana.

On November 10, 2018 Deputy Bowlan responded to the 7-Eleven in Sunderland for the report of a fight. Upon his arrival, he observed Detective Rector and Deputy Callison detaining the suspect, Cameron Alexander Dent (27), who was fighting with another customer in the store. Dent was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.
