PRESS RELEASE FOR BURGLARY ARREST

On November 13, 2014, members of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 2800 block of Tipperary Lane in Chesapeake Beach for the report of a burglary.  Jewelry, an IPad, cash and a handgun were stolen and property damage totaled $375.  The case was assumed by Det. N. DeFelice of the Criminal Investigations Bureau, who conducted a thorough investigation that led him to two suspects, Tawny Nicole Atkins, 18, and Lionell Victor Garrison, 19, both of Chesapeake Beach.  Warrants were issued for the suspects and they were apprehended and served with those warrants on March 16 and 18 respectively.
Atkins has been charged with first degree burglary, theft and conspiracy to commit both.  Garrison was charged with first degree burglary, theft, conspiracy to commit both, as well as two counts of malicious destruction of property.
