Throughout this year’s Fourth of July weekend, the Calvert County
Sheriff’s Office will be patrolling the streets and events to be held at
Solomons Island and Chesapeake Beach and North Beach with a full workforce that
will include its’ Command Staff.
Additionally, a DWI initiative will be underway. Deputies will be enforcing the rules of the
road and also hope to deter criminal activity before it starts. Sheriff Mike Evans would like to remind
everyone, “Please celebrate responsibly and not to drink and drive.”
