TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO DRUG ARREST AND ASSET SEIZURE
On February 15,
2018 the Crime Suppression Unit conducted a traffic stop on a gold Hyundai Elantra
at the Holiday Inn located in Prince Frederick.
An investigation during the stop resulted in the recovery of 20 grams of powder cocaine, a digital
scale, CDS Paraphernalia, and marijuana.
In addition, $858.00 and the Hyundai Elantra were seized. The suspect, Carol Lanette Savage of Hartford
County was charged with several crimes, including Possession with the Intent to
Distribute Cocaine. The Calvert County
Sheriff’s Office began the Crime Suppression Unit in an effort to provide
directed enforcement in these types of cases.
