The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s
assistance in identifying the person or person responsible for destruction of
property to residential areas.
On October 6, 2017, deputies with the Calvert County Sheriff’s
Office were dispatched to numerous locations on Nicole Drive, off William’s
Wharf Rd in St Leonard, Maryland and numerous locations on Hance Rd and Forest
Lane, off Broomes Island Rd Port Republic, Maryland for destruction of property
calls. Residents reported mailboxes were broken off their support posts.
Mailboxes, homes and vehicles were spray-painted. In some cases, vulgar
language and racial comments were spray-painted on buildings and stop signs.
