On September 27, 2014 at approximately 0908 hours, members of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Bureau and Crash Reconstruction Team responded to Maryland Route 260 and Saint Andrews Drive, Chesapeake Beach, Maryland 20732 for a report of a motor vehicle collision involving two pedestrians. Preliminary investigation revealed a 2013 Hyundai passenger vehicle operated by Megan Sullivan (29) of Chesapeake Beach, Md. had entered the roadway from Saint Andrews Drive and for unknown reasons left the travel portion of the roadway and struck two pedestrians who were jogging on the shoulder. The pedestrians were identified as Katie Allen (28) of Owings, Md and Thomas Molino (20) of Lothian, Md. Members of the Dunkirk and North Beach Volunteer Fire Department arrived on scene and initially treated Allen and Molino who were later transported to Prince George’s Hospital Center via Maryland State Police Medevac. Allen and Molino are listed in Stable condition. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was the first to call 911. No charges have been made at this time.
