During the week of March 5 – March 11, deputies of the
Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,435 calls for service throughout
the community.
Burglary: 18-11909
On March 7, 2018 Deputy
Crum responded to Greenhill Court, Huntingtown for the report of a burglary.
The victim stated that during the night of March 6th they heard a
loud bang, and when they checked the residence they noticed their sliding glass
door to be partially opened with scratches to the paint near the door lock, and
the door lock to be damaged. Deputy Crum also observed the kitchen window
screen to be damaged and no items were taken from the residence. The estimated
damaged property is $75.
Burglary: 18-11845

Ridgley responded to Sonoma Lane, Prince Frederick for the report of a
burglary. The victim stated at approximately 11:06am on March 7th
they heard a loud bang, and when they went to check they noticed a white male
wearing a white t-shirt with dark pants standing outside of the residence. The
victim stated when they checked the other side of the residence they believed to
see two males running from the residence. Deputy Ridgley observed the garage
door mechanism to be broken and no items were taken from the residence. The
estimated damaged property is $250.

R. Evans responded to Carpenter Beach Road, Huntingtown for the report of a
burglary. The victim stated that an unknown suspect(s) entered their cottage
and removed two king size comforters. The estimated value of stolen property is
$60.

On March 5, 2018 Deputy R.
Evans responded to Adelina Road, Prince Frederick for the report of damaged
property. The victim stated that sometime between March 4th at
6:00pm and March 5th at 8:00am an unknown suspect(s) put sugar in
their gas tank. The estimated damaged property is $500.

responded to Howes Road, Dunkirk for the report of damaged property. The victim
stated that at approximately 6:20pm on March 6th they heard several
rounds of gunshots. The victim noticed a bullet hole on the exterior wall of
the living room and also to the interior wall where the drywall had been
damaged. The estimated damaged property is $300.

Naughton responded to Exelon Nuclear Power Plant, Lusby for the report of
damaged property. The victim stated sometime between March 8th at
6:15pm and March 9th at 7:30am an unknown suspect(s) scratched the
paint of their vehicle from the rear driver’s side door to the rear driver’s
side quarter panel. The estimated damaged is $1,000.

Burggraff responded to Saw Mill Road, Lusby for the report of damaged property
that occurred at Exelon Nuclear Power Plant. The victim stated that an unknown
suspect(s) scratched the right side of the vehicle along with a scratch on the
back side of the vehicle.

Parks responded to the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office for the report of a
theft that occurred on Woods Road, St. Leonard. The victim stated they had a
package delivered containing Albion clothing that was removed from the mailbox.
The estimated value of stolen property is $157.

responded to Wawa, Dunkirk for the report of a theft. The victim stated that a
white female in her late twenties wearing black yoga pants and a black jacket
stole a variety of food and drinks from the store. The estimated value of
stolen property is $20.

Morder responded to the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office for the report of a
theft that occurred on Briscoe Turn Road, Owings. The victim stated that
sometime between March 7th at 4:00pm and March 8th at
7:00am an unknown suspect(s) stole the registration plate from their dump
truck. The value of the stolen property is $20.

M. Lewis responded to the Blackbelt School of Martial Arts, Huntingtown for the
report of a theft. The victim stated that an unknown suspect(s) removed their
business signs from the intersections of Southern Maryland Boulevard/Chaneyville
Road and Southern Maryland Boulevard/ Ward Road. The value of stolen property
is $160.

Parks responded to the Calvert County Detention Center for the report of a CDS
violation. Deputy Parks made contact with the complainant who advised an inmate
later identified as Freddie Commodore
(53) of Port Republic had a Suboxone package inside his wallet. Commodore
was charged with Possession/Receive CDS While Confined/Detained.

On March 5, 2018 Deputy M.
Lewis conducted a traffic stop in the area of N Solomons Island Road and
Skinners Turn Road. Deputy Lewis made contact with the driver later identified
as Christina Procopio (31) of Owings,
and had her exit the vehicle. A K9 scan of the vehicle was conducted resulting
in a positive alert. A search of the vehicle resulted in narcotics. Procopio
was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center
and charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana (Alprazolam).

On March 5, 2018 Dfc. Gott
conducted a traffic stop in the area of S Solomons Island Road and Southern
Connector Boulevard. While speaking with the driver later identified as Jessica Hunt (30) of Lexington Park,
she became very nervous. Hunt and the passenger of the vehicle were asked to
step out of the vehicle for a search to be conducted. The search resulted in narcotics
and paraphernalia. Hunt was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert
County Detention Center and charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana
(Alprazolam) and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.

Ridgley responded to the Calvert Village Shopping Center for the report of a
traffic complainant on a possible impaired driver. Deputy Ridgley located the
vehicle and made contact with the driver later identified as Ryan Cleaver (41) of Owings. While
Deputy Ridgley was obtaining Cleaver’s driving information through Emergency
Communications, Deputy Sampson and Cpl. Wilson began a search of the vehicle
and Cleaver’s persons. The search resulted in both paraphernalia and narcotics.
Cleaver was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention
Center and charged with CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana (Adderall) and two
counts of CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.

On March 7, 2018 Dfc. T.
Buckler responded to Trader’s Restaurant, Chesapeake Beach for the report of a
disorderly subject. The subject later identified as Kevin Moser (54) of Owings was extremely intoxicated and asked to
leave the establishment. Moser refused to leave and began yelling profanities.
Moser was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention
Center and charged with Disorderly Conduct.

Sampson conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Weis, Prince Frederick.
While making contact with the driver later identified as Shanan Sanchez (35) of Owings, Deputy Sampson immediately smelled
the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Sanchez was asked to step out of
the vehicle for a search to be conducted. The search resulted in two marijuana
cigarettes and a large quantity of Adderall pills. Sanchez was placed under
arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center and charged with
CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana (Adderall), CDS: Possession with Intent to
Distribute, and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.

On March 9, 2018 Cpl.
Moschetto responded to the 500 block of Stamper Court, Prince Frederick for the
report of disorderly subject. When Cpl. Moschetto arrived on scene he observed
two males outside arguing and screaming profanities. The male later identified
as Kermit Gray Jr. (58) of Prince
Frederick was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County
Detention Center and charged with Disorderly Conduct.

On March 10, 2018 Cpl.
Denton, Dfc. Childress, and Deputy S. Naughton conducted traffic enforcement in
the area of Saint Leonard Road and Calvert Beach Road when they stopped a
vehicle for speeding. While making contact with the driver later identified as David Lee (30) of Mechanicsville, Cpl.
Denton and Deputy S. Naughton recognized signs of possible drug use. Dfc.
Childress conducted a K9 scan of the vehicle resulted in a positive alert. A
search of the vehicle resulted in ten syringe needles. It was also determined
through Emergency Communications that Lee was driving on a suspended license.
Lee was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention
Center and charged with CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.
