During the week of April 8th through April
14th deputies of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,365
calls for service throughout the community.
Damaged Property: 19-20254
On April 10th, 2019 Dfc.
Gott responded to Asbury Circle for the report of damaged property. The
complainant advised that sometime between March 27th at 4:00 pm and
April 10th at 11:40 am, several chain link fence ties connecting to
nine fence poles had been cut and separated with the bottom of the fence pulled
up. The estimated value of damaged property is $300.
Theft: 19-19872
On April 8th, 2019 Dfc.
Boerum responded to the Wawa located in Prince Frederick for the report of a
theft. The victim stated they used the ATM inside the business to withdraw
money at approximately 12:45 pm. They
advised they looked away briefly while the money was preparing to be dispensed
when an unknown suspect came up behind and stole their $50. The victim stated
they checked their account balance after the transaction was complete and
verified the account was $50 shorter when originally started.
Theft: 19-20252
On April 10th, 2019 Dfc.
O’Donnell responded to Aztec Trail in Lusby for the report of a theft. The
victim stated sometime between November 2018 and the reported incident date,
two “No Trespassing” signs were stolen from his property as well as 6 marking
ribbons off of their property boundary stakes. The estimated value of stolen
property is $25.
Theft: 19-20578
On April 11th, 2019 Dfc.
Wood responded to Olympia Sports in Dunkirk for the report of a theft. The
assistant manager stated two black females entered the store around 7:00 pm and
stole approximately $340 worth of merchandise before fleeing the store.
Theft: 19-20755
On April 12th, 2019 Deputy
Sampson responded to Bowie Shop Road in Huntingtown for the report of stolen
tags. The victim stated sometime between 7:30 am and 6:30 pm, their front and
rear tags were stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at the Dunkirk Park
and Ride.
ARRESTS:
On April 9th, 2019 a
lookout was broadcasted for a possible intoxicated driver. Cpl. Harms located
the vehicle a short time later in the area of Route 2 and Dalrymple Rd where he
initiated a traffic stop. The driver, who was later identified as Dodanim Ninrod Aguirre (32), immediately rolled up the windows
of the vehicle, refusing to provide Cpl. Harms with any identification. Aguirre
was ordered several times to put down the window or open the door to no avail. Aguirre was subsequently removed from the vehicle and
placed under arrest. A search of the vehicle
revealed a HK P30 .40 caliber handgun containing 12 rounds in the magazine, as
well as several empty beer cans. Aguirre was transported to the Calvert County
Detention Center where he was charged with Dangerous Weapon- Conceal, Failure
to Obey a Reasonable/Lawful Order, Obstructing & Hindering, Loaded Handgun
on Person, Loaded Handgun in Vehicle, Handgun on Person, Handgun in Vehicle and
several traffic citations for driving under the influence.

On April 10th, 2019 Deputy
Sturdivant was dispatched to the Southern Branch Library located in Solomons
for a check welfare. It was learned that the suspect had been drinking heavily
and stated he fell and injured his face. An attempt to locate was conducted in
the area with negative results. Several hours later, Deputy Sturdivant was
dispatched to the area of Solomons Urgent Care in Solomons for the report of a
disorderly subject. Upon arrival, Deputy Sturdivant made contact with the same
suspect from the previous call, Gary
Scott Arbaugh Jr. (36), and placed him into handcuffs. While speaking to
Arbaugh, Deputy Sturdivant could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage
emitting from his breath. Arbaugh Jr. was treated at the hospital for his injuries
then transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with
Disorderly Conduct, Public Intoxication, Intoxicated Endangerment, and
Possession of an Open Container in Public.

On April 13th, 2019 Dfc.
T. Buckler responded to the Chesapeake Beach Fastop pavilion area for the
reported CDS violation. The complainant advised that the suspect, Brenda Dickerson (52), was selling his
prescription medication at the Fastop. Dfc. T. Buckler made contact with Dickerson
and notified her of the alleged offense. Dickerson gave Cpl. Wilson six full
pills and two half pills from her person, which she stated were her prescribed
Xanax. There was no prescription bottle located on Dickerson. Dickerson was
placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center
where she was charged with CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana. After arriving at
the Detention Center, an additional blue pill was located on her person.

On April 13th, 2019 Deputy
Sampson conducted a traffic stop in the area of Route 2 and Clyde Jones Rd.
located in Sunderland. Deputy Sampson was almost complete with the traffic stop
when he asked the driver and passenger to step out while a K9 scan was conducted.
The passenger, Bryan DeAndre Rawlings
(23), became very combative and told the driver not to comply. Rawlings was
subsequently removed from the vehicle and placed in handcuffs. A K9 scan of the
vehicle was then conducted which resulted in a positive alert. A search of the
vehicle revealed 2 baggies with suspected cocaine residue, a clear wrapper from
a cigarette carton that had been heat sealed then reopened, and 2 cut straws.
Rawlings was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention
Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana, CDS:
Possession of Paraphernalia, Obstructing & Hindering, and Resist/Interfere
with Arrest.
