SHERIFF'S OFFICE INCIDENT BRIEFINGS - OCTOBER 30TH, 2018


During the week of October 22 – October 28 deputies of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,310 calls for service throughout the community.

Damaged Property: 18-57406
On October 22, 2018 Deputy Josey responded to Curve Lane, Lusby for the report of damaged property. The complainant advised sometime between October 21st at 12:30 PM and October 22nd at 2:00 AM an unknown suspect(s) broke his bedroom window using a brick that was found on the back deck. The estimated value of damaged property is $500.

Damaged Property: 18-57395
On October 22, 2018 Deputy Ridgely responded to Wilson Court, Prince Frederick for the report of damaged property. The complainants advised sometime between October 21st at 7:00 PM and October 22nd at 6:00 AM an unknown suspect(s) smashed the windshields and slashed the tires of three vehicles at that address. The estimated value of damaged property is $2,250.

On October 27, 2018 Deputy Ridgely responded to the Calvert Library in Prince Frederick for the report of damaged property. The complainant advised an unknown suspect(s) cut a hole in the wall in the men’s handicap bathroom. The estimated value of damaged property is $100.

On October 27, 2018 Dfc. Barger responded to Bullwhip Trail, Lusby for the report of damaged property. The complainant advised at 1:15 PM three unknown male suspects damaged her blow up Halloween yard ornament. The value of the damaged property is $199.99.

Theft: 18-57730
On October 23, 2018 Deputy Josey responded to Fireberry Court, Prince Frederick for the report of a theft. The complainant advised sometime between 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM an unknown suspect(s) stole his recycling bin from his residence.

Theft: 18-58101
On October 25, 2018 Deputy Deleon-Suero responded to Deadwood Drive, Lusby for the report of a theft. The complainant advised sometime between 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM an unknown suspect(s) stole his heat pump from his yard.

Theft: 18-58355
On October 26, 2018 Dfc. T. Buckler responded to the Fastop in North Beach for the report of a theft. The complainant advised at 7:30 PM an unknown subject pumped gas and left without paying. The gas was worth $56.57.

Theft: 18-58417
On October 27, 2018 Deputy Ridgely responded to Matteson Supply Company in Prince Frederick for the report of a theft. The complainant advised sometime between October 25th and October 26th an unknown suspect(s) stole two ATVs from behind the shop. The value of stolen property is $1,800.

ARRESTS:

On October 23, 2018 Dfc. T. Mohler conducted a traffic stop on Solomons Island Road in the area of Thomas Johnson Road, Solomons. While making contact with the driver, Michael Anthony Redmond (20), Dfc. Mohler observed a green straw that contained a white powdery substance partially rolled into his shirt. A search of the vehicle revealed a container with suspected oxycodone. Redmond was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.

On October 24, 2018 Deputy N. Buckler drove past the Help Association in Owings when he noticed a vehicle parked on the side of the building. While making contact with the driver, Allen Bates Curtis (46), Deputy Buckler noticed a pile of clothing on the front passenger seat and two black boxes in the rear passenger area. A search of the vehicle revealed pieces of brillo all over the vehicle, a socket with suspected crack cocaine residue inside, 12 pieces of miscellaneous clothing,  a Nikon Camera, an Olympus camera and two speakers. All the items are believed to be stolen from the Help Association. Curtis was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana, CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia, Second Degree, Third Degree and Fourth Degree Burglary.

On October 27, 2018 Deputy Sampson conducted a traffic stop in the area of Solomons Island Road and Dares Beach Road, Prince Frederick. One of the passengers, Patrick Henry Nutter IV (32), was asked to step out of the vehicle. A search of his person revealed 20 unopened Suboxone strips and a plastic pouch that contained K2 Spice. A search of his belongings revealed 20 more Suboxone strips as well as two prescription bottles, both with low counts of the recently filled medication. Nutter was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana, CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia and CDS: Possession with Intent to Distribute.

On October 28, 2018 Deputy Yates conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Prince Frederick Boulevard and Hallowing Point Road, Prince Frederick. The passenger, Tyrone Johnson (56), admitted to having crack cocaine in his cigarette pack. Johnson was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana.

On October 28, 2018 Deputy N. Buckler was approached by a male, later identified as Jeremy Michael Odom Blasiar (28), while working at Abners Crab House in Chesapeake Beach. Blasiar was extremely intoxicated and continued to curse and make threatening statements towards multiple officers. Blasiar was told to leave several times but refused, therefore, he was assisted to the door. Blasiar was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Trespassing.
