SHERIFF’S OFFICE AND MSP UNITS WERE
DISPATCHED TO AN OVERTURNED SINGLE VEHICLE AUTOMOBILE CRASH ON SIXES RD JUST WEST
OF RT. 4.
UPON ARRIVAL, UNITS OBSERVED A BLUE 2015 SUBARU STATION
WAGON, LYING ON ITS DRIVER’S SIDE PARTIALLY SUPPORTED BY THE GUARDRAIL. THE VEHICLE HAD STRUCK THE GUARDRAIL WHILE
TRAVELLING EAST BOUND ON SIXES RD. THE

FLIP ONTO ITS DRIVERS SIDE. THE DRIVER
OF THE VEHICLE WAS IDENTIFIED BY HER MARYLAND DRIVERS LICENSE AS LAURA JEFFERY
JOHNSON OF PRINCE FREDERICK. JOHNSON WAS THE SOLE OCCUPANT OF THE VEHICLE
AND WAS ENTRAPPED INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE DRIVER’S DOOR WAS PINNED AGAINST THE
GUARDRAIL WHICH WOULD NOT ALLOW ACCESS TO JOHNSON. VOLUNTEERS FROM THE PRINCE FREDERICK FIRE DEPARTMENT
AND PRINCE FREDERICK RESCUE SQUAD WORKED VIGOROUSLY TO REMOVE THE ROOF OF THE
VEHICLE AND EXTRACTED MS. JOHNSON. MS.
JOHNSON RECEIVED ON SCENE MEDICAL CARE AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE LANDING SITE
VIA AMBULANCE. MS. JOHNSON WAS AIRLIFTED TO PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY SHOCK TRAUMA
CENTER BY MSP’S TROOPER 2.
DUE TO THE EXTENT OF HER INJURES, INVESTIGATING DEPUTIES
WERE NOT ABLE TO SPEAK WITH MS. JOHNSON
TO DETERMINE WHAT CAUSED HER TO DRIVE OFF OF THE ROADWAY. ANYONE WHO MAY HAVE WITNESSED THIS CRASH IS
ASKED TO CONTACT DEP. BUCK OF THE CALVERT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE AT
