The Southern Maryland Criminal Justice Academy held its graduation
ceremony on Friday, April 10, 2015 for the 52nd class of Correctional Officers
for the tri-county area.
The Calvert County Detention Center graduated three Correctional
Officers who were introduced to the Calvert County Board of County
Commissioners:
• Correctional Officer
Robert Shrawder
• Correctional Officer Nicholas
Buckler
• Correctional Officer
Christopher Oliver
All three Correctional Officers received Distinguished Graduate honors.
Officer Shrawder had the highest Grade Point average and received the
Academic Achievement Award.
Officer Oliver received the Physical Fitness Award.
“I am so proud of our correctional officers. The job they do is vital to public safety”,
said Sheriff Evans.
