On May 5th, 2018 the Calvert County Sheriff's
Office, with assistance from the Maryland State Police, conducted two separate
Driving Under the Influence Checkpoints.
In total, there were approximately 900 vehicle/citizen contacts as a
result of the checkpoints. As a result
of the checkpoints there was 1 DUI arrest, several CDS under 10 grams citations
issued, and 2 criminal CDS arrests.
